Which Tankdrum and key should I choose?
The Constellation series has a diameter of 28cm and is available with 8 or 9 tones. The drum is characterized by a warm and deep sound. The drum has a long sustain which makes the tones sound nicely together. The G-Major and Lydian keys have an energetic and euphoric (happy) sound. The A-Minor tuning is relaxing and melancholic (sad) in nature where the AkeBono tuning is besides a relaxing sound also mystical in sound.
The Zephyr series is 36cm in diameter and has 9 tones. This drum is characterized by its clear and dynamic sound. This causes the tones to vibrate individually. As for the Zephyr series, the Equinox key contains both minor (B-Minor) and major (C-Major) components. It offers a relaxing and melancholic sound as well as euphoric uplifting sounds. The AkeBono key mainly offers an uplifting and mystical sound.
